Modern Slavery & Ethical Working
Demolition Services is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights, including practices such as forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking — all of which involve the exploitation of individuals through coercion or control.
We operate a strict zero-tolerance approach and are committed to conducting all business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. We have implemented robust systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery does not take place within our organisation or across our supply chain, in line with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Our Commitment
This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Demolition Services, including employees, directors, contractors, agency workers, consultants, and business partners.
We are committed to ensuring that:
- All work is carried out voluntarily, without coercion or undue pressure
- Workers are free to leave their employment with reasonable notice
- No form of forced, bonded, trafficked, or compulsory labour is used
- Workers are not subjected to physical, psychological, or verbal abuse, harassment, or intimidation
- No individual is required to pay recruitment fees or costs that could lead to exploitation
- Personal documents such as passports or identification are never withheld
- There is no use of child labour, and all workers meet minimum legal age requirements
- All workers are treated fairly and without discrimination
Where third-party labour providers are used, we ensure they meet the same ethical standards and operate in full compliance with applicable laws.
Fair Treatment & Protection
We are committed to creating a safe and respectful working environment where individuals are treated with dignity. Workers are encouraged to raise concerns or grievances without fear of retaliation, and all reports are taken seriously and investigated appropriately.
Responsibility & Oversight
The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with this policy. Day-to-day responsibility for implementation and monitoring sits with the Managing Director, who ensures the policy remains effective and aligned with legal and ethical requirements.
Compliance
All employees and partners are expected to understand and comply with this policy. Preventing, identifying, and reporting any potential breaches is the responsibility of everyone working for or with Demolition Services.
Reporting Concerns
Any concerns regarding potential breaches of this policy should be reported to senior management. Reports can be made confidentially, and where necessary, anonymously. All concerns will be investigated thoroughly, and appropriate action will be taken.
We reserve the right to terminate relationships with any individuals or organisations found to be in breach of this policy.
