Health & Safety
Demolition Services is committed to achieving the highest standards in occupational health and safety across all areas of our operations. We place the protection of our employees, subcontractors, clients, and the public at the forefront of every project, ensuring that risk is effectively identified, assessed, and controlled.
Our Health & Safety Management System is aligned with BS OHSAS 45001 standards, providing a structured framework for managing risk, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the business. We implement robust procedures, detailed RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and ongoing monitoring to maintain safe working environments at all times.
We actively promote a positive safety culture through continuous training, workforce engagement, and leadership commitment — ensuring that health and safety responsibilities are understood and upheld at every level of the organisation.
Demolition Services is an accredited member of leading industry bodies including CHAS, SafeContractor, and the British Safety Council, demonstrating our compliance with current legislation, recognised codes of practice, and industry best standards.
Through this integrated approach, we ensure that all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with the highest professional standards.
Environment
Demolition Services is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations and ensuring full compliance with all relevant environmental legislation. Our Environmental Management System is accredited to BS EN ISO 14001, providing a robust framework for identifying, managing, and reducing environmental risks across all activities.
We recognise our responsibility to protect the environment in which we operate and are committed to continuous improvement through investment in sustainable practices, technologies, and resource management. Environmental considerations are embedded into every stage of our projects — from planning through to execution and completion.
We actively promote the use of sustainable and recycled materials, alongside the efficient use of energy and natural resources. Through careful planning and operational control, we aim to reduce waste at source and maximise the reuse and recycling of materials arising from demolition activities, significantly reducing landfill dependency.
By maintaining our ISO 14001 accreditation and fostering a culture of environmental awareness across the business, we ensure that best practice is consistently applied — delivering projects responsibly, sustainably, and in line with the highest industry standards.
Equal Opportunities
Demolition Services is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of our business. We ensure that all employees and applicants are treated fairly and with respect, regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, or disability.
This commitment applies to every aspect of employment, including recruitment, training, development, promotion, pay, working conditions, and benefits. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all and fostering an inclusive working environment where everyone can contribute and succeed.
We actively promote access to training and career progression, ensuring all employees are aware of opportunities available to them. Our policies are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain effective, relevant, and aligned with best practice.
Any concerns regarding unfair treatment are taken seriously and addressed through clear and structured procedures, ensuring they are handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
Training
At Demolition Services, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. We are committed to continuous investment in training and development, ensuring our teams have the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to operate safely and effectively within the complex industries we serve.
We deliver structured competency-based training across all levels of the business, covering the full range of specialist disciplines within our operations. This ensures that every individual is equipped to meet the technical, safety, and regulatory demands of their role.
Our training programmes are supported by recognised industry bodies and accredited providers, including CITB, NDTG, ARCA, and other specialist organisations, ensuring full compliance with current standards and best practice.
Training is delivered through a combination of induction programmes, refresher courses, task-specific instruction, and on-site toolbox talks — providing practical, relevant learning that supports safe and efficient project delivery.
We continuously review and update our training programmes to reflect changes in legislation, industry standards, and operational requirements — ensuring our workforce remains competent, compliant, and prepared for the challenges of modern demolition and decommissioning projects
Business Continuity
Demolition Services is committed to maintaining the resilience and continuity of our operations in the event of disruption. Our experienced management team has developed a structured and systematic Business Continuity Plan, ensuring we can respond effectively to a wide range of potential operational, environmental, and external risks.
The plan identifies critical business functions and assesses potential threats, setting out clear procedures and responsibilities to minimise disruption. It includes robust strategies for prevention, response, and recovery — enabling us to maintain service delivery, protect our people, and support our clients without interruption.
Our Business Continuity Plan is regularly reviewed and tested to ensure it remains effective, relevant, and aligned with current risks and industry best practice. Through this proactive and disciplined approach, we ensure the business remains resilient, responsive, and capable of operating effectively in even the most challenging circumstances.
